My focus is brand / design / experience built on a foundation of strategic goals, knowledge of audience, and clear aesthetic appeal.
I build high-performing teams that have the passion and skill to create breakthrough work, then lead them to solve key business needs. I do this with calm leadership, clear thought, and deep understanding of the creative process.
As the founding Design Director and Brand Creative Director at TED, I shape its brand strategy and creative vision. With 2.5 billion global views, 180 million monthly followers, and impact initiatives across philanthropy, climate, and democracy, TED is a trusted, nonpartisan source for powerful ideas. Incredibly, 1 in 3 English-speaking people with internet access reports being impacted by TED. Leading the team that grows, steers, and evolves this global brand is deeply rewarding.
Most recently, I led the effort to define a new brand strategy for TED that communicated the full breadth of its efforts, ultimately resulting in a powerful new public tagline.
